The nip is in the air and the first golden leaves have fallen to the ground. Thoughts turn to apples and pumpkins and winding down for the winter. The harvest has just about concluded. It is fall.
Fall has always been one of my favorite seasons. I don't know if it's the cooler weather or the beautiful colors, but I love the fall. It is always fun for me to decorate my home and especially the entry way to my house. I like it because it is different every year because our harvest is different every year. This time around, we had orange pumpkins and some flat white pumpkins, and some huge mammoth sunflower heads. Generally I use corn stalks but this time I decided to pull in our sorghum of many colors. I also found a couple mums that I really liked. I left them in their pots and plan to plant them in my flower bed before the ground freezes over. I'm so pleased with the results!
Happy Fall!
